FOR HOUSE 48
It is time for change in District 48!
Melissa Swarbrick is running for North Carolina House of Representatives District 48.
"I grew up in a family that taught me the values of community service and helping others. I have always been an active member of my community. I am dedicated to making District 48 a better place to live through community and economic development, being tough on crime, supporting our police and educators, fighting for school choice for parents, tackling the digital divide, and working against the governor's abuse of emergency powers. I will also be an advocate for an educated and engaged citizenry. I will be a leader who is honest, forward-thinking, transparent, and accessible".

Swarbrick is not a career politician like the incumbent who has served nine terms in the state House and has accomplished little. Melissa plans to work hard, listen to her constituents, be transparent, and respect the opinions and ideas of both Democrats and Republicans. Below are the primary priorities and issues she will fight for and push for change within District 48!
Ending Roe v Wade will save innocent lives and return power to where it belongs - voters in states and their elected representatives. I am a Christian who believes in the sanctity of life, and I will always fight for the lives of unborn children.
FIGHT FOR EDUCATION RIGHTS
I will fight for school choice so that parents can decide what type of education their children can have.
END THE DIGITAL DIVIDE
I will work with the State to finally end the digital divide and provide internet services to rural areas.
PROMOTE ANIMAL WELFARE
I will fight for stricter animal welfare laws and accountability of our law enforcement in their enforcement.
SUPPORT OUR 2ND AMENDMENT
I support our second amendment right to bear arms. This is our sacred right and we will defend it.
